Why discontinued

Simply put, life got in the way.

I have left this game to rust over time.

I have a full time day job and make games on the side. When I started making this game I was a electrical engineer, and somewhere while developing this game I changed career to become web developer.

Along this journey I learned so much that I was inspired to make my own game and engine from scratch using SFML, which caused this project to be discontinued.

About the game

The Business Challenge is a new type of business simulation game.

The difference with other business simulation games being that the scope is entirely different. Instead of focussing on getting money and expanding your specific business type, like most business games, this game focusses on moving on beyond your business type to other related types.

For example, you start out building a restaurant business from the ground up, but then move on managing a farm which supplies your restaurant with fresh ingredients. After managing a farm, you might go on opening a supermarket, delivery service, cargo transport, airline, travel agency, hotel, etc.

The challenge would be randomly generated, varying from owning a certain type of business within a time limit, to owning a certain amount of linked businesses with a determined amount of weekly profit.
